  1. All the necessary information, forms, and templates can be found on the University website https://www.vsb.cz/en/study/exchange-students/.
  2. An overview of the FEECS's bilateral agreements can be found in the KATIS information system.
  3. On the website of the selected university, look for courses offered to foreign students and in what languages are they offered as English is not commonplace everywhere. Read the admission conditions of the foreign university carefully, pay special attention to important dates.
  4. Register for the internal selection procedure within the announced deadline for the given academic year (usually September and February) through the EDISON information system. As part of the selection procedure, it is mandatory to provide a language skills certificate at the level required by your target university.
  5. Upon successful completion of the selection procedure, you will set up a study plan at the foreign university (so-called Learning Agreement) in EDISON. If you are not able to find the course in the database of courses in EDISON, send information about the course (code, English name, name in the local language, suggested Czech name, and ECTS credits) by an e-mail to , and the course will be inserted into the database. In Table B, in the Learning Agreement, also list courses that will replace the course in your personal study plan by completing them abroad. You should select courses that are as close as possible to the courses of your study branch/programme. The number of credits awarded during the study abroad should be similar to that of VSB-TUO, i.e. 30 credits per semester.
  6. You will be informed by EDISON when you should deliver the printed Learning Agreement to the Study Office with the signature of the study branch administrator (the administrator will approve the study plan and the replaced courses by his/her signature or in EDISON). Together with the Learning Agreement, you will also deliver other documents required by the foreign university. The Study Office will have the Learning Agreement signed by the Vice-Dean for Study Affairs and will send it to the foreign university.
  7. The faculty’s contribution towards foreign study/work stays amounts to CZK 3,000 - 7,000 for each month of stay in the form of an extraordinary scholarship (based on a financial agreement). You can also apply for an accommodation scholarship if you study in the standard period of study (Bachelor - 3 years, Master - 2 years). Since the academic year 2017/2018, FEECS also awards scholarships for successfully completed international mobilities.
  8. Recognition of subjects is handled by the faculty as follows: all successfully completed subjects listed on the Transcript of Records will be acknowledged (at the same time, the subjects must be listed in the Learning Agreement, or in the Changes). The subjects will be recognized with the given number of ECTS credits as optional, except for the subjects that replace one of the compulsory or compulsory optional subjects of the personal study plan.
