Selection procedure for international student mobility and work internships under the Erasmus+ programme, VSB-TUO scholarship, and other programmes offered by VSB-TUO
The student applicant must meet the conditions of the given mobility program available on the University website https://www.vsb.cz/en/study/exchange-students/ (usually the mobility is only possible from the 2nd year of study, the student must not pay a fee for longer study, etc., at present, it is also not possible to go on study stay in the first semester of the follow-up Master study).
Students are advised to read the admission requirements of a foreign university carefully before registering for the foreign university selection procedure. Different universities have different deadlines for application submission, it is required to prove the level of the English language by a certificate (usually at least B1 for Erasmus+), and some of the universities also require other additional certificates (Spanish, German, etc.). Available information is provided directly in the agreements available in the KATIS IS.
The student registers for the internal selection procedure through the EDISON IS. In the Mobility/Study stay tab, the student submits an application for the university of choice and the expected semester when he/she want to visit the university. For a study stay within the VSB-TUO Scholarship and/or a work internship under the Erasmus+ programme, the registration takes place in KATIS (the login and password are the same as in EDISON). In the Mobility / Selection procedure tab, the student selects “New record”, where he/she selects the degree programme code and writes the university or company where the internship will take place in the note.
Applications can be submitted by students on the following dates:
- September 1 – 30 for mobilities in the summer semester of the given academic year,
- February 1 – 20 for mobilities in the winter semester or in the whole following academic year.
The selection procedure will be evaluated on the basis of the weighted study average from the last academic year. In the case of students in the first year of Bachelor study or students who have completed the previous study at another university, the evaluation will be based on the interim results of the ongoing academic year. In the case of doctoral students, the recommendation of the supervisor will be taken into account. Language skills must be documented by a certificate. Furthermore, the involvement of the student in the Exchange Student Club (e.g. Buddy), etc. will be taken into account.
Students will see the results of the selection procedure in EDISON, or they will be informed by an e-mail (stays processed in KATIS) usually within 14 days after the completion of the selection procedure.
