Summary
The aim of this project is to build an academic experimental mobile network using open platforms OpenBTS and OpenIMS and connecting the two university research institutes (VSB-TU Ostrava and CVUT in Prague) via a national research and education network - CESNET. Another objective is to verify the functionality of implemented network in terms of characteristics and achievable parameters (e.g. delay, convergence GSM and SIP terminals, etc.). The project will build a testbed and verify the operation of experimental campus mobile networks connected via the NREN network. In addition, the project lays the foundations for the future application for a European project under the H2020 program in which we want together with CESNET organization to apply for funds in infrastructure projects.
