Martin Šmídl, a student of Computer Science at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VŠB-TUO, spent a year on an internship at CERN - Europe's largest research centre for nuclear research. How did he get there, what was waiting for him and how did this experience change his life?
The international project GeoNetSee, in which a team from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava is involved, has been honored with the prestigious Flagship 2025award. The project offers modern solutions for real-time monitoring of unstable terrain and at-risk infrastructure, contributing to increased safety in the Danube Region.

The second edition of the International UAV Competition 2025 at VSB - TUO brought three days of exciting battles. A team from HCMC University of Technology and Education won the competition, which combined technical skills, creativity and teamwork.
