Automated mobility in the Czech Republic - where are we and where are we going?

This is what Petr Šimoník, Vice Dean for Cooperation with Industry from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of VŠB - Technical University Ostrava, will be talking about at Meltingpot as part of Colours of Ostrava.

"Current developments are aimed at creating completely new assistance systems and automated control of L3 and L4 levels, which represents a key direction of technological progress that has the potential to significantly increase the safety and efficiency of transport. By combining cutting-edge research, industrial collaboration and university environments, we can rapidly develop, test and put automated driving systems into practice," says Petr Šimoník, who will present projects aimed at developing technologies for connected cooperative automated mobility in the EU.

His debate partner will be Zdeněk Petzl, Executive Director of the Association of the Automotive Industry of the Czech Republic, who will outline how the Czech car industry supports the development of automated mobility through legislation and activities within the national strategy.
