The MARS project focuses on industrial research and experimental development of a modular AESA radar subsystem, the result of which will not be an isolated component, but a laboratory-verified integrated building block ("tile") combining antenna subaperture, multi-channel T/R chains, coherent synchronization and calibration, digital interface, and subsequent signal processing.
