Title
Development of experimental LoRaWAN network on alternative frequency bands using CESNET infrastructure
Code
767/2025
Summary
This project is directly related to projects No. 600/2017, 622/2018, 636/2019, 677/2021 and 717/2023, which address the long-term concept of the development and use of IoT technology LoRaWAN and their applications across institutions that use the CESNET e-infrastructure. The present project, the sixth in this area, is therefore thematically linked to the previous projects and aims to verify the possibilities associated with the deployment of the LoRaWAN specification on alternative frequency bands. The main objective of the project is to implement and verify communication outside the conventional 868 MHz band (e.g. 169, 433, 2400 MHz). The secondary objective of the present project is to extend the academic experimental LoRaWAN network by installing new gateways in the locations of interest. The project will also allow to build a test platform and verify the operation of experimental IoT technologies and services connected through the National Research and Education Network (NREN).Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
