Earlier this year, the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on developing joint activities in the fields of education and research.
„The visit of Professor Luiz Sinésio Silva Neto was another step towards implementing a project aimed at helping to establish a laboratory similar to our residential lab on their campus and to connect our research goals in the areas of telemedicine, assistive technologies, and elderly care,” said Professor Martin Černý, Head of HealthLab.
Professor Neto is the coordinator of the University of Maturity (part of UFT), a program focused on expanding formal education, promoting self-care, and strengthening social inclusion among seniors with an emphasis on active aging. Together with his colleagues, he visited not only HealthLab but also the Biomedical Engineering laboratories, where they learned about the faculty’s current projects and technologies.
