Students at VŠB–TUO have a unique opportunity to help address real-world challenges in healthcare. The inaugural year of the Healthcare 4.0 Challenge initiative bridges technical disciplines with the clinical environment and paves the way for innovations with real-world impact.
Join the Healthcare 4.0 Challenge

The Healthcare 4.0 Challenge is a joint initiative of the Czech Ministry of Health and VŠB–Technical University of Ostrava. This is not a theoretical competition, but rather work on specific projects that have the potential for real-world application in a hospital setting.

Who Can Participate

Students from all faculties at VŠB–TUO (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. levels) across all study programs.

Why Participate

You will work on a real-world problem from hospital practice
You will gain experience with interdisciplinary collaboration
The project can serve as the basis for a thesis or further research
You will receive mentoring from academics and industry experts
Selected teams will receive financial support for prototype development
The winning team will receive a cash prize and support for further project development
