The expEDU Project Connects Universities

On April 9–10, a project meeting of the international project expEDU – Experiments for Better Teaching in Higher Education took place at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. Partners from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Ukraine participated in the meeting. International cooperation within the project enables the sharing of different approaches to teaching technical and natural science disciplines, as well as the development of joint methodologies and educational tools.

During the two-day program, partners focused on presenting the project’s current outputs, sharing experiences and examples of good practice, and discussing next steps. Particular attention was paid to the creation of educational videos, the technologies used, and the organization of work within an international team. The program also included a tour of the student and research laboratories at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, giving partners insight into the university’s technological facilities and concrete examples of experiment-based teaching.

The expEDU project is co-funded by Erasmus+ under the Cooperation Partnerships call (2025-1-PL01-KA220-HED-000363551). Its aim is to innovate higher education through experimental teaching, the sharing of best practices, and the creation of modern educational materials.
