Jan Nedoma has long been engaged in research in photonics, optoelectronics, and fiber-optic sensors. His work focuses on optical communication systems, sensing technologies, and their applications in industry, transportation, and medicine. In 2023 and 2024, he was ranked among the top 2% most-cited scientists worldwide in the field of Optoelectronics & Photonics.

David Horák focuses his research on numerical mathematics, parallel computing, and the development of algorithms for solving large-scale engineering problems. He contributes to the development of the PERMON software library for high-performance computing, and his work is applied in scientific simulations, modeling, and large-scale data processing.
