MODAM 2026 Introduced Teachers to Modern Applications of Mathematics and Inspiration for Teaching

At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the traditional educational event Modern Applications of Mathematics (MODAM 2026) took place for the twelfth time. The event, intended for secondary school mathematics teachers, offered expert lectures, practical demonstrations, and new ideas for teaching mathematics.

This year's programme featured topics such as statistics for Generation Z, spherical geometry in cartography, practical applications of logarithms, and a hands-on workshop focused on the use of AI in mathematics education.

The seminar is organized annually by the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and has long supported innovative and engaging mathematics teaching at secondary schools.
