The visit also included a tour of selected laboratories and state-of-the-art research infrastructure. This gave the guests an opportunity to learn more about the Faculty’s technological and research facilities and explore how they could contribute to the planned joint project.

“Success in European projects depends on bringing together teams with complementary expertise. The planned project focusing on the concept of a software-defined greenhouse is a good example of how technology and agriculture can be connected. It will allow us to draw on our experience and research infrastructure and combine them with the expertise of our colleagues at Mendel University,” said Radek Martinek, Dean of FEI.

In September, representatives of FEI will travel to Brno to continue the joint discussions.
