Summary
T2.c: Electromobility, selfdriven vehicles and ecological transport systems. Research focused on self-driven vehicles, environmental transport systems and electromobility aims to develop models of all essential and collaborative systems. Using computer simulation to perform research on methods and critical states of control and regulation processes of electronic vehicle NCK KUI – description of work packages and their outcomes 9 systems. The hardware and software platform for electronic control units of both; conventional and electric vehicles; requires practical testing. Therefore, in the advanced phase of the project solution, the development of technical resources and the research of methods for component and integration HIL testing of investigated systems will be established. Testing is also one of the benefits of these modelling techniques. For example, testing control algorithms in terms of their robustness and security. A typical application of researching the behaviour of control systems in these situations is whether the controlled technology is in a dangerous, abnormal or faulty condition. Research will be conducted in the following application areas. Self-driven vehicles – Electronic systems of self-driven vehicles require the specific co-operation of a larger number of conventional systems. And integration of the electronic sensor system of autonomous control. This regardless of the specific application for passenger cars or trucks. The development of applications for self-driven vehicles must respect the elements of automotive safety and automotive spice. For the simulations in this application must be developed many new models of sensor systems and perception of the environment. Electromobility – Nowadays, electric vehicles are increasingly being used for various applications. The scope of these applications requires ever greater demands on the electronic control systems of electric vehicles. In order for these systems to be safely put into operation, different safety aspects must be respected. HIL testing is one of the tools that will be used to test the hardware and software platforms of electronic control systems for electric vehicles. Also, the behaviour of the control algorithm can be tested easily for a situation which could not be induced in practical conditions, or which would be very difficult. Environmental transport systems – Research in the field of conventional powertrain vehicles can reach their targeted optimization and thus act to reduce exhaust emissions. In order to increase the ecological efficiency of transport systems, optimization of the combustion processes management must be done. This can be achieved by implementing artificial intelligence into vehicle electronic control systems. The existing constants stored in the memory of the controllers can be replaced by neural networks. The application of the Artificial Intelligence also carries greater demands on the computing power of microcomputers in the control units.
