Research and development focuses on application areas for single-chip and single-board computers, including the use of embedded systems, RFID and NFC access technology, mobility, wireless communication in mobile environments (including V2X communication), mobile systems, and mobile platforms (including application development).
The group deals with the field of computer hardware, computer networks, and software development for these devices, including the implementation of communication protocols. It focuses on the design and implementation of atypical control systems and devices, the possibilities of using microcomputer technology in the areas of control and monitoring, the use of embedded Linux systems (also in industrial equipment and automobiles), access systems (formerly RFID, now NFC), which includes the access system developed for the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and the area of wireless communication in a mobile environment.
Group members participated in international cooperation with Volkswagen, Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG), and cooperation in organizing conferences and workshops with Bialystok University of Technology.
