Summary
This pro consists in the study of the qualitative properties of nonlinear boundary value problems for both ordinary and partial differential equations. Especially, the questions concerning the existence and multiplicity of solutions as well as the bifurcations of nontrivial solutions will be studied. The attention will be concentrated on quasilinear problems with nonlinearities of the p-Laplacian type. Also the weighted function spaces will be investigated because they play an essential role in th study of the properties of the spectrum of nonlinear degenerated differential operators. To answer questions concerning the existence, multiplicity and bifurcations, the knowledge of the structure of the set of all eigenvalues of nonlinear eigenvalue problem is necessary. New results of Landesman-Lazer type for quasilinear equations and for nonlinearities depending also on the gradient will be formulated.
