Summary
The project will deal with hot problems of current semantics that are interconnected with a fundamental problem of adequately explicating the meaning of language expressions. Particular conceptions and approaches will be critically compared, in particula those of intensional logics, namely Montague's system and Tichý's Transparent Intensional Logic (TIL). We will advocate for explicating meaning as a structured entity - TIL logical construction that renders the logical form of the expression. Using TIL conception, semantic notions like sense, meaning, denotation, reference, etc., will be precisely explicated. We will also deal with such problems like "What do we speak about?", "Is there the only one adequate analysis of a (non-homonymous) expression?", "How will a chosen conceptual system influence the deepness of the analysis?", and many other fundamental problems of the like.
