Užití metod fiktivních oblastí v úlohách tvarové optimalizace

Summary
Numerical realization of practical shape optimization problems is very difficult especially in 3D. For this reason the efficiency of the inner optimization level (solution of state problems) plays an important role. One of the most powerful tools for the numerical realization of state problems is a fictitious domain approach. We are interested in this topic for many years. The goal of this project is to extend existing approaches to the realization of elliptic equations with complicated (mixed) boundaryc onditions and to variational inequalities. We want to solve state problems more efficiently using wavelets instead of classical finite elements. Outer optimization level has been realized by global optimization algorithms so far. In this project we willc onstruct an alternative approach based on gradient methods (we will discretize formulas obtained from sensitivity analysis of continuous setting). Finally we will verify these techniques for the numerical realization of free boundary value problems.
