Summary
The submitted study will be concerned with the relation between reliability and maintenance. The main goal is the determination of optimum maintenance with the minimisation of costs and the keeping of the required reliability of particular distributionsy stems. In the comprehensive conception it is the case of optimal planning the management of property. The formation of a strategy for introducing new elements into the distribution networks will lead to an increase in the reliability of electricalenergy supply, especially by decreasing the manipulation outages. The determination of optimal models of maintenance of power distribution systems and their introduction into practice will result in considerable financial saving. By optimising thenetwork config uration by using the correct electrical protection devices and by their optimal setting, the failure rate and the outage of power supply may be decreased, it means it is possible to decrease the quantity of undelivered power.
