Summary
The aim of the project is: - Simplify, accelerate and refine the planning of complicated orthopedic operations using standard implants to ensure optimum functionality and reliability of joint replacements. - Perform an expert design of an individual implant with a selection of standardized components. - Enable full 3D planning of operations for accurate functional planning from CT or X-rays. - Simplify and automate the identification of key functional parameters (dimensions, axes, anatomical points) of planned joints by appropriate pre-processing and automatic analysis of input data. - Create a 3D Database of ProSpon Implants and components for operations planning. - Enable export of data from the scheduling software as a basis for producing individual 3D printed replacements. Main benefits:  - We will be able to apply the technologies developed in the framework of our research in the course of development and verify their functionality in the real application. The acquired knowledge will be further used in the teaching of subjects as well as in bachelor, diploma and dissertation theses as well as in scientific research activities through publications in scientific journals and international conferences. Thanks to the support provided, new jobs will also be created for researchers in the Moravian-Silesian Region. - Commercial - Get the market ahead of the competition, increase profits and sales; strategic importance even for maximum use of the new 3D print technology of titanium implants, the investigator begins to use for the development and production of implants - Medical-social - resulting from patient burden reduction, saving on the payee's side, minimizing risks, time and cost of surgery, operator ready for possible complications = maximum accuracy, functionality and reliability of the resulting operation - Knowledge - increasing know-how by acquiring additional knowledge from the field and their other applications - Prestigious - a significant increase in the prestige of both companies and research organizations involved in the project not only in the Czech Republic but also within the EU, other markets with medical devices
