The delegation also included Radek Martinek, Vice Dean for Science and Research and Doctoral Studies, and Petr Bilík from the Department of Cybernetics and Biomedical Engineering.
During the visit, a number of meetings were held with representatives of four leading Kazakh universities. The main topics of discussion were the possibilities of cooperation in the field of student and teacher exchange, while visa policy issues for students coming to the Czech Republic were also discussed. The delegation also discussed experiences with publishing activities and possibilities of cooperation within international scientific projects. The Journal Club was also a subject of discussion.
One of the important points of the visit was the discussion of cooperation with International IT University, Energo University and Kazach British Technical University. "Discussions focused on negotiating a double-degree agreement, cooperation in the field of exchange of PhD students and mobility of teachers", said Jan Platoš, Dean of the Faculty.
Individual meetings were held with representatives of International Information Technology University, Kazakh-British Technical University, Astana IT University, Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications, Kazakhstan & Hasselt University, Belgium & Acadia University, Canada.
The Rector of the University Václav Snášel also had the honour to speak at the prestigious EUSPN&ICTH 2023 conference in Almaty, where he presented the latest findings and research in the field of informatics.
This visit strengthened international relations and opened new opportunities for academic cooperation, exchange of experience and development of scientific projects. The FEI management is committed to continuing to develop these relationships to promote the international dimension of education and research.
