Summary
The basic idea of the new arrangement of power engineering in the Czech Republic is the liberalisation of the electrical energy market. The basic rules of this liberalisation are determined according to Law No. 458/2000 which determines the legalframewor k, as well as the time schedule, of the liberalisation.The development of new technologies and new technical devices resulted in the growth of new appliances, especially within the consumers in the distribution networks which have a very negativeimpact o n the quality of the supplied electrical energy and thus complicate the conditions of the distributors of electrical energy for ensuring the high quality of the supplied electrical energy to other consumers. It is necessary to stress the factthat the con sumer requires, and will require even more, the supply of electrical energy of top quality.
