The Department of Computer Science organizes a programming club for children from 11 to 15 years of age, which is conducted in a fun way and children try out the basics of programming.

Computer security specialists from the NAVY research group, part of the Department of Computer Science, are launching training courses in computer security for private and public companies and employees. Courses not only focus on pre-defined areas of computer security, but specialized, tailored courses can also be requested.

The courses are conducted in the form of practical workshops. Each course is designed into a total of five afternoon tutorials, with each tutorial lasting three hours. So in total 5x3h = 15 hours / course. The courses are not part of the standard curriculum and no formal prerequisites are required to complete them. Registration for courses is year-round and courses are always open based on current demand when the minimum number of participants is met.
 Courses are led by experienced lecturers, employees of VŠB-TUO, the Department of Informatics or the Information Technology Centre, who deal with the subject matter practically.
The price for one participant per course is 20.000,- CZK without VAT. The minimum number of participants for the implementation of the course is four participants. Participants do not necessarily have to be from one organisation.
