FEI is now part of the prestigious European EUMaster4HPC program

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VŠB–TUO, in collaboration with IT4Innovations, now awards a degree in the prestigious pan-European EUMaster4HPC master’s program. Students can thus earn two university degrees, one of which is now awarded by VŠB–TUO.

FEI has two new professors

The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, appointed two representatives of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava as professors. Jan Nedoma received his professorial decree in the field of Communication Technologies, while David Horák was appointed professor in the field of Computational and Applied Mathematics.

High school students gain hands-on experience

Practical training and workshops for students from the Secondary Technical School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SPŠEI) in Ostrava are held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (FEI). Students work on practical assignments and familiarize themselves with the technologies and environments of the individual departments.

At the turn of spring and summer 2016, ESPORT VSB-TUO OSTRAVA LEAGUE was established as an active association that focuses on the phenomenon of computer games and the association of people who are active in this community. One of the secondary goals is also the effort to eradicate the stereotypical negative opinion of computer games.
