A modern multimedia studio for audiovisual content production opens at FEI
A newly modernized multimedia studio for the production and distribution of audiovisual content has been officially opened at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. The new facility will primarily be used by students of the Communication and Information Technologies study programme, but it is also open to other faculties of the university.
Vojtěch Blažek from FEI Receives the Werner von Siemens Award
Siemens Czech Republic has presented the 2025 Werner von Siemens Awards to outstanding students, young researchers, and educators. The award for the Best Doctoral Thesis on Smart Infrastructure and Energy was granted to Vojtěch Blažek from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava for his dissertation Optimization in Smart Grids.

At the turn of spring and summer 2016, ESPORT VSB-TUO OSTRAVA LEAGUE was established as an active association that focuses on the phenomenon of computer games and the association of people who are active in this community. One of the secondary goals is also the effort to eradicate the stereotypical negative opinion of computer games.
