Students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science took part in a specialist conference on trends in the development of endoscopic imaging systems in medicine in 2025.
On December 16, Petr Alexa from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VŠB-TUO received his appointment decree as professor of Applied Physics from Czech President Petr Pavel. This significant milestone recognizes his many years of teaching and scientific research work.

At the turn of spring and summer 2016, ESPORT VSB-TUO OSTRAVA LEAGUE was established as an active association that focuses on the phenomenon of computer games and the association of people who are active in this community. One of the secondary goals is also the effort to eradicate the stereotypical negative opinion of computer games.
