How mathematical modelling helps medicine
Experts from the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Electrical Enginee-ring and Computer Science, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, are developing mathe-matical models that enable more accurate reconstruction of the abdominal aorta from CT scans. These three-dimensional models are subsequently used for biomechanical simulati-ons, helping physicians better estimate the risk of abdominal aortic aneurysm rupture.

At the turn of spring and summer 2016, ESPORT VSB-TUO OSTRAVA LEAGUE was established as an active association that focuses on the phenomenon of computer games and the association of people who are active in this community. One of the secondary goals is also the effort to eradicate the stereotypical negative opinion of computer games.
