The Faculty participated in AdvanceMed 2026
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava actively participated in the second edition of the international conference AdvanceMed 2026, held on 9–10 April in Dolní Vítkovice. Faculty experts contributed to the conference programme and also presented practical technological solutions at accompanying exhibition stands.
Fall detection system tested in real operation. Demonstrated to the Minister of Health
The InvisiAngel fall detection system, developed at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, is currently being tested in real operation at the Sluníčko Care Home in Ostrava. During his visit to the facility, the Minister of Health also had the opportunity to see how the system works in practice.

One of the secondary goals is also the effort to eradicate the stereotypical negative opinion of computer games.
