FEI and VR Life collaborate on stress research using virtual reality
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava has signed a memorandum of cooperation with VR Life. Together, they want to develop research, education, and applications in the field of virtual reality (VR), particularly in relation to monitoring and reducing stress in users exposed to extreme conditions, such as astronauts.

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VŠB-TUO organized the 25th FEI Journal Club, which was truly exceptional this time. Astronaut Aleš Svoboda, a fighter pilot, ambassador of the Czech space program, and member of the new team of astronauts of the European Space Agency (ESA), visited the packed auditorium.
The Metamorphoses of Art 2.0 exhibition opens a dialogue between humans and artificial intelligence
What happens when human creativity meets artificial intelligence? The answer is provided by the multimedia exhibition Metamorphoses of Art 2.0, which opened at the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics at the Czech Technical University in Prague. The project combines classical art with state-of-the-art technologies and raises the question of the boundaries between human and machine creativity.

At the turn of spring and summer 2016, ESPORT VSB-TUO OSTRAVA LEAGUE was established as an active association that focuses on the phenomenon of computer games and the association of people who are active in this community. One of the secondary goals is also the effort to eradicate the stereotypical negative opinion of computer games.
