The aim of this research in cooperation with ELVAC is to develop an optimization software, that is able to adjust the vehicle headlamp fixing screws in order to fits a headlamp as well as possible when it is mounted to a bodywork. Vehicle headlamps have defined points on the glass, which must meet strict tolerances. An optimal settings of calibration screws results in minimal tolerances of the tested points and minimal overall geometric error of a headlamp.
